Pre-mixed Bio-active nutrients, made of – Probiotics, Seaweed, concentrated Worm-Wee (organic nutrients that have been bio-activated and concentrated using a worm farm.

The liquid Seaweed fertiliser (high in Iodine and trace elements) which is mixed with potassium humate, described as 50 million year old compost. Beneficial Micro-Organisms, sometimes called Em or Effective Microbes, a collection of microbes that are found in both soil and food such as yoghurt, cheese etc, when added to the soil/coco-fibre or mixed with the fertiliser they break down the organic nutrients making them even more bio-available to the plants. The probiotic Micro-Organisms, contain 15 different types of microorganisms was cultured using organic certified substances such as kelp and Azomite(a volcanic ash super-rich in trace elements).

So you have 1 option

1- do you need a sauce type cap for no drip pouring, these come by default in the kits so you probably don’t need it if you already have one.

Coriander grown as a Microgreen – here seen growing in our shallow rectangular trays under LED lights, using our seedling mix which is then covered with our Vermiculite mix.
When growing in these shallow trays ie that have a reservoir underneath, the roots will soon penetrate the growing medium and gather in the reservoir, meaning, the roots are now looking for nutrients from the reservoir, so the seedling mix has enough fertiliser for 2 months, but depending on what you grow and how long you may need to add some nutrient to the base periodically once the plants begins to mature.
In this picture on the left we have the Coriander that has been cut with about two thirds remaining. You can see how densely they are grown and the trick is to just grab a bunch from the edge (work your way around the edges), cutting at the base, then with a bunch in your hand just trim the ends, in case there is any roots that have been pulled up or seed husk or bits of growing medium. On the right we have the next bunch of coriander growing. This is now the method I use for my Coriander needs. So again it’s the seedling mix, seeds relatively dense, vermiculite then just add water to the base and nutrient if needed.Click to hide

Transplanting Basil, the best way to grow Basil is to buy a punnet from the supermarket break it apart and repot into separate small pots of the similar size that you purchased the Basil in. This is an especially useful method if you eat lots of basil, you can grow from seed but takes a lot longer. We currently do not supply these small pots but looking to in the future, as you can grow quite a robust plant in these small pots which fits in with our principal of making the maximum use of space, that’s why we use the punnets for the rocket as these are less than half the height of the pot, meaning more shelves, more lights, more plants.
