Organic based Pellets used to grow green edible herbs. In this picture we see Thai basil being grown in our larger pots, we fill the pot one third full add 2 teaspoons of palletised fertiliser, add another 3rd of growing medium, in this case Vermiculite, then another 2 teaspoons of palletised fertiliser, another slightly less than 1/3 of growing medium, sprinkle your seeds, spray, and cover with growing medium.
In the bottom right you see a small pot, these are the ones you see sold at supermarkets and vegetable stores, we may get these small pots in at some stage, but at the moment I just purchase Basil, as they are available everywhere and then reuse the pot for my seed based Microgreens especially Rocket. With these we add 1/3 of growing medium add 2 teaspoons of the palletised fertiliser, add slightly less than two thirds, spread your seeds, spray, then cover with remaining growing medium.
The top right and bottom left pictures show rocket being grown in punnets, same procedure as the small pots but just using 1 teaspoon of palletised fertiliser.
Just to note once you have planted your seeds take the tray to where it will be for at least the 1st few weeks, then add, in most cases about 1L of our water mixed with 6mls of Microgreen nutrients, this will supply enough nutrients for the seedlings to extend their roots down into the area where the palletised fertiliser has been placed.
