Set of 6 lifted tabs designed to elevate the grill section of the tray. The extra 2 lifting tabs slot in underneath the tray in the centre, this is useful for microgreens/baby leaf that grow for several months and consume a lot of water. The centre tabs keep the grill horizontal, meaning that if you're using the punnets as in the picture seen here growing beetroot then there is no bending in the tray at the centre and all punnets have equal access to the water below. This can also be useful if you wish to grow 1 or 2 pot plants where the roots grow through the base of the pot into the reservoir below. The centre tabs keep the grill horizontal, meaning that if you're growing a couple of pots of small herbs i.e. that you pick up at the market, then there is no bending in the tray at the centre. This is the shorter version of these 2 tabs that does not require the use of the 4 lifting tabs around the outside. This is probably the quickest and easy way to grow a wide range of herbs especially Basil which had a great range of varieties/flavours to your salad. Just remember when you bring potted herbs from outside into your system it is a good precaution to give them a good spray with a pyrethrum (natural) herbicide both on the leaves under the leaf and on the top of the potting mix.
