MicroGreen Base kit 2x Shelf, 1x 330x245mm trays, 1x 25W LED Panel, which gives you everything you need to get started, except for the seeds, to grow slightly longer term greens in a dense(see slides), format eg Corriander, Kale, Rocket(better in punnets). The kit contains:- 1x medium height 2x shelf stand, 1x 25W LED light, 1x steel chain set for alternative hanging option, 1x Microgreen tray choice of colour, 250 mils of organic(98%) MicroGreen nutrient, 1L of vermiculite growing medium, 3L fine textured seedling mix blended with Azomite and Diatomaceous Earth, 1x pipette for measuring nutrient, 1x acrylic flattening tool (used to flatten growing material and press seeds into growing material), 1x insect trap + holder, Optional Base Plate with extension feet.The 25W LED light panel comes with a chain, we recomend to use the cable ties supplied to attach it to the light stand as this gives greater control as to how close we mount it to the tray above on the next shelf.

Here we see the Cover being used in germinating Radish seeds on the top shelf with Radish ready to be harvested on the bottom shelf. Daikon Radish sprout is probably the quickest and most prolific Microgreen and the easiest to grow and up there with broccoli sprouts as far as medicinal benefits, it along with the SnowPea are my 2 preferred favourite microgreens to grow. The heat from the light on the top shelf increases the germination rate and time. Click to hide

Here we see the Cover being used with Sunflower microgreens, the roots are very unwieldy, meaning they go everywhere and keeping the cover on for an extended period of time helps the roots sort themselves out and find the growing medium, it also helps to get all the microgreens to the desired 2 leaf stage at the same time. So when the Sunflower is at this stage I just invert the cover i.e. so the moist side is at the top and occasionally take it off and give it a hard spray, helps the removal of the husk. This tool is used in this situation to firstly flatten the surface of the growing medium, and then to gently press the seeds into the growing medium, so that the moisture from the growing medium comes in contact with the seeds (more important with respect to large seeds like peas where you are just using the cover) also if you are covering with a medium then use this tool to press the covering material down onto the seeds. The 25 W. LED light panel comes with a chain, we use cable ties to attach it to our light stand as this gives greater control as to how close we mount it to the tray above on the next shelf. However you can see here where we've used 2 lights they have the chain attached, which goes over the steel arm of the light stand and underneath it is constricted with a cable tie allowing you to adjust the angle of the light. Underneath that you see netting that is designed to keep the bushy plant from getting too close to the lights. Click to hide

Here we see the light stand with and without the base plate & feet, notice without the base plate the power supply & cabling need to be mounted to the side. The cable connecting the power supply to the light is actually 2m long, so unless you have several shelves on top of each other, the cabling and power supply can be mounted at some distance if that is more convenient. The power board is only needed when adding additional shelves on top. Click to hide

Hydrogen Peroxide + Pipette + Optional 750ml Spray Bottle.
I use Hydrogen Peroxide or H2O2 in a spray bottle for Microgreens i.e. spraying the seeds and the paper towel at the base of the tray.
The H2O2 has 2 functions one is it releases oxygen into the water and it also counteracts any mould that may lie dormant attached to the outside of the seeds.
I recommend adding 3 mls to a 750 ml spray bottle, a full pipette is 3 mls. It is generally recommended to keep the H2O2 in the refrigerator to minimise evaporation, I personally store in the freezer, it does not freeze, further reducing its tendency to evaporate.
