If you’re building your own stand from scratch, then this would be an extra shelf on top of the base stand or in addition to 1 of the base kits.

You have the option of 2 different shelf heights i.e. distance between the outside bar at the bottom and the top of the shelf, as the lights hang a little bit lower than the top bar, then this has to be taken into consideration. Basically the shorter height is ideal for 2 week microgreens e.g. SnowPea, Radish, Broccoli, Red Kale and Sunflower. You would probably want to use the extra height option for baby leaf that grows for a longer period of time e.g. Rocket, Coriander. It also has the option of including a Perspex shelf. Advantages of using the Perspex shelf are that you can use a different type of pot plant i.e. that doesn’t use our rectangular tray, may be aesthetically more pleasing, also the Perspex shelf will diminish the possibility of spillage as it will collect 1^st on the Perspex before dripping down onto either the floor or 1 of the lights, in particular the 25W light is not waterproof whereas the 5 and 10W. and 100W lights are.
