This is the one we used to use, with a white grill insert, it’s one of the system we now one with custom-made Perspex sheet which makes it cheaper. You get a set of lifters attached to the underside of the white grill keeping it level, as the grill is designed to slope towards the centre, for growing micro greens you want it flat otherwise the centre becomes wetter then the edges. We supply a cardboard template which makes it easy for the paper towel used to cover the grill holes i.e. so the growing material doesn’t fall through to the reservoir below. We also supply a germination cover.
The downside of this system is that the white grill is quite thin and brittle and can break easily, even though the one we use is stronger than what I’ve seen online but anyway it’s still a weak point. Watering is more difficult as you have to lift the grill up to check water level and add water and it is quite a bit harder to clean, probably the main difference of our new system.
