Microgreen Kit 470×170 Punnets Dividers Brown

Microgreens in punnets inside a brown 470 x170 mm tray

This is the base kit for growing Microgreens in punnets inside a brown 470 x170 mm tray. The kit includes a Brown or Grey tray, in this case Brown, in which you can fit 6 punnets. The top part of the picture shows the divider that comes with the kit. The divider is especially useful for seeds such as Broccoli and Radish. The reason is that when you grow these seeds close together in a dense format i.e. Microgreens, then they will overflow the edge and intertwine with the tray next to it. This is a bit of a pain when you’re moving punnets around as they tend to pull each other apart, but the divider keeps the shoots in place.

So this is the base kit you me to make a few decisions about how you going to grow your Microgreens e.g.

• tray colour brown or grey,
• use our LED light stand, the power supply with the base LED system will support 4 levels of growing or our window ledge stand,
• if you do not have your own growing medium then choose either the vermiculite or seedling mix option, I use the vermiculite option for microgreens and seedling mix the most other things,
• choose whether you would like an insect trap holder, we supply 1 naked insect trap with each kit, but you will find that they are much easier to use if you place inside 1 of our holders,
• the white reflectors can be applied at the front and back of the stand. The reflected is very useful for window ledge e.g. I have grown rocket behind frosted glass using the reflector but could not get it to go without. With regard to the LED light stand they are particularly useful when you’re stand positioning does not back on a white reflective surface like a bookcase. If you putting it on your kitchen bench you can even have one at the front and one at the back and just remove the one the front when you want to access the tray.
