Product Info

Start sprouts in one small colander after 3 or 4 days divide into 2 small colanders, this will give you 3+ litres of finish sprouts, if you do not want so much sprouts then you can just do enough that will fill 1 colander and then after another 2 days empty 1 or 2 into the large colander for final rinsing and cleaning.

When it comes to storage you have the option of storing it inside the mesh bag inside the large colander (making sure you cover the drain holes on the side of the base), the limiting factor with this method is the amount of room that you have in your fridge as the large colander is 4L – dimensions (330L x 290W x 140H). The way that I now do it is using the combination of mesh bag, cotton bag, plastic bag. The trick being with this method is to make sure the sprouts are not too wet, so for the last 2 days you leave the sprouts at an angle (flip the sprout mass,1/day brings the wet sprouts to the top) in the large colander, this works really well all you have to do is place the grill section with the sprouts at an angle and across the base. After one day take the sprouts and turn them upside down so that the moisture at the bottom gets a chance to try out for the final day. You may also wish to add the lid during the night just to ensure there are no unwanted visitors to your sprouts during the evening. + colander cleaning tool.

Product Info

Sprouting kit 2 small sprouting colanders with covers plus one large 4L colander with cover along with 250ml of bio activated organic nutrients. Ideal for those people that eat a lot of sprouts as you can wait until the 2 small ones are full or three quarters full and then add them to the large. When it comes to storage you have the option of storing it in the large colander (making sure you cover the drain holes on the side of the base, minimises dry out), the limiting factor with this method is the amount of room that you have in your fridge as the large colander is 4L – dimensions (330L x 290W x 140H). The idea with this kit, is so that you have a continuous supply of sprouts, especially useful if you read a lot of sprouts. My current method is to start with one small colander 30 mil of Broccoli, 30 mil of Alfalfa and 60 mil of radish, two different types when available. I then divide this when the first colander is full and grow them into small colanders, when they’re both full, I then add them to the large colander which is very efficient at removing un-sprouted material (i.e. both types, the husk that floats and the husk and un-sprouted seeds at the bottom). After a few more days to a final so can rinse and drain thoroughly then add a plastic bag over the side holes (minimizes drying out) then store in the fridge. Finally, when you are just about finished eating the sprouts from the fridge (they will last up to a week, this is because they have been soaked in nutrient solution so they are full of life and will keep growing for this period of time). Anyway, I remove the remainder of the sprouts from the large colander put it into one of the small colanders (which are now ready to add to the large colander) and put the small colander in the fridge, clean the large cold and add these sprouts from the two small full colanders. Once you get the hang of this simple procedure you will never be without sprouts. The other two sprouts that I do are Red Lentil and Fenugreek, which are done in two small callers. Select the Product button to go to the Product Page Or Click text to hide.
