This is the base kit for growing Microgreens in punnets(6 punnets + 4x Germination covers) inside a 470 x170 mm tray or 330x245m trays(separate kit), can fit 6 punnets in both tray.

To build your Microgreen growing system you need to select the tray type ie 330x245m trays(separate kit), and colour, whether you need dividers e.g. Broccoli, Radish, whether you require a stand and how many levels, they can be a window ledge stand, or LED light stand.

Microgreens in punnets inside a 470×70 or 330×245 mm tray.

This is the base kit for growing Microgreens in punnets inside a 470×70 or 330×245 mm tray. The kit includes 6 punnets, 4 germination covers.

So this is the base kit you me to make a few decisions about how you going to grow your Microgreens e.g.

  • Select tray type / colour.
  • Select punnet divider insert, recommended for Broccoli, Radish, not necessary for SnowPea.
  • use our LED light stand, the power supply with the base LED system will support 4 levels of growing,
  • or select 1 of our window ledge stand options e.g. for very narrow i.e. less than 70mm then choose the stand with weights at the back if you have a greater than 90 mm window ledge depth then you can use our extender support system. If you do not want to use the reflectors then you can just choose the standard window ledge i.e. no extra supports.
  • if you do not have your own growing medium then choose either the vermiculite or seedling mix option, I use the vermiculite option for microgreens and seedling mix for most other things, if you choose the vermiculite, which is the one I use as it’s cleaner and it’s something you do every day then you need to purchase or use our organic liquid fertiliser.
  • use our LED light stand, the power supply with the base LED system will support 4 levels of growing or our window ledge stand,
  • choose whether you would like an insect trap holder, we supply 1 naked insect trap with each kit, but you will find that they are much easier to use if you place inside 1 of our holders,

the white reflectors can be applied at the front and back of the stand. The reflected is very useful for window ledge e.g. I have grown rocket behind frosted glass using the reflector but could not get it to go without. With regard to the LED light stand they are particularly useful when you’re stand positioning does not back on a white reflective surface like a bookcase. If you putting it on your kitchen bench you can even have one at the front and one at the back and just remove the one the front when you want to access the tray.
