Capillary mat and mini stand designed for our 3 tray types – 1 of the main reasons for using the capillary mat is it makes watering very easy & you can take full use of the available depth of the trays ie more water less often. It’s good to have a 2nd tray so if the water does become coloured you can just swap the trays and clean the one you have removed. The pot sits on the capillary mat which is elevated to the level of the overflow channel of the tray on the left & just below the top of the other 2 tray types.

[cm_tooltip_parse]3 types of grill lifters (i.e. the white grill for the 330 x 245 mm Microgreen trays)
1 – set of 4 external lifters, used by themselves for increasing the reservoir and maintaining dryness of the growing medium e.g. for SnowPea Wheatgrass.
2 – set of 2 large lifters located underneath the tray in the centre to be used in conjunction with the 4 external lifters for stabilising the grill and increasing the water reservoir e.g. for longer term Microgreen such as Beetroot and Silver Beat or for thirsty potted plants like Mint.
3 – set of 2 smaller lifters located underneath the tray in the centre, stabilising the grill, used with punnets for medium-term microgreens such as Rocket and Coriander. The other use is with small potted herbs. Select the Product button to go to the Product Page Or Click text to hide[/cm_tooltip_parse]

[cm_tooltip_parse]Microgreen tray lifter, is used to elevate the trays closer to the light source. Comes with stainless steel attachments. As you can see in the pictures it can be used for both types of rectangular trays. Select the Product button to go to the Product Page Or Click text to hide[/cm_tooltip_parse]

These Punnets are very handy for growing micro-greens, they give more depth for the roots. You can fit 6 per tray, comes with the option of covers.
As you can see the pictures can be used to grow sizeable small-scale leaf greens like Kale, ruby red Silver-beet (Chard), great for Rocket, also an excellent solution where people are only going to grow small amounts e.g. you can fit up to 6 per tray meaning in one tray you can have various stages of growth of the 1 or 2 Micro-greens or just grow a variety if you are a small-time Micro-green eater. Microgreen(270mm Ht), Herb Leaf(340mm Ht) Base Stand for a single 330x245mm tray. You have the option of 2 different shelf heights i.e. distance between the tray and the lights (270 mm for Microgreen e.g SnowPea Radish Sunflower Broccoli. 340 mm for short-term salad greens e.g. Rocket Coriander. It also has the option of including a Perspex shelf which comes with adjustable height feet, allowing you to place power supply and excess cabling out of sight. Microgreen Stand Shelf for a single 330x245mm tray. You have the option of 2 different shelf heights i.e. distance between the tray and the lights (270 mm for Microgreen e.g SnowPea Radish Sunflower Broccoli. 340 mm for short-term salad greens e.g. Rocket Coriander). It also has the option of including a Perspex shelf. Other advantages of using the Perspex shelf are that you can use a different type of pot plant i.e. that doesn’t use our rectangular tray, may be aesthetically more pleasing, also the Perspex shelf will diminish the possibility of spillage as it will collect 1st on the Perspex before dripping down onto either the floor or 1 of the lights in particular 25 W light is not waterproof whereas the 5 and 10W. and 100W lights are. Microgreen Stand Douuble Base for 2x 330x245mm trays. You have the option of 2 different shelf heights i.e. distance between the tray and the lights (270 mm for Microgreen e.g SnowPea Radish Sunflower Broccoli. 340 mm for short-term salad greens e.g. Rocket Coriander). It also has the option of including a Perspex shelf, this shelf can give a neater appearance but more importantly it will catch any small spillage and give you a chance to soak it up before it trips down to other layers. Note – if you wish to grow taller plants than probably best to select the 25w or 100w lights base kit and then add extra shelf at 340 mm. Having the different shelf heights for tall plants allows you to easily move the plants down from the lights as they grow taller. Microgreen LED Kit 5W/10W
The advantage of these lights are that they are low-power, high quality (Samsung LED), they are only operating at about 80% intensity, due to the losses in the 2m attachment cable, meaning they will last a very long time (also to note, this is why you can run these lights at 13.8 V which will increase their intensity by 10 to 15% and still not cause the LEDs to fail. They are also extremely water resistant, so any spillage is not a problem and spreading 3 across the top of the trays gives a very even spread of light. These LEDs are a combination of cool and warm, the blue spectrum is good for developing leaves
We recommend using 2 of these for each tray when growing Microgreens, if you want to move on and do something like rocket then you can add an extra light or if using 2 you can use the 13.8 V setting on the power supply.
Another option is to use the 25W, which is overkill for the microgreens but great for small salad greens or even up to a mid-size basil plant.
We also have a 100W LED light, this has a combination of daylight with extra red LEDs you would use this for growing large plants or if you wanted something to develop buds and fruit. Select the Product button to go to the Product Page Or Click text to hide

[cm_tooltip_parse]Microgreen LED Kit 25W
A 25 W. LED light panel with a mix of white and red LEDs, meaning you can grow a wide range of vegetables or even flower/fruiting plants. It comes with a 2m extension cable power supply and steel cable. We also supply cable ties which are much more flexible when connecting to our stands and also with regard to securing the cable to the vertical sections of the stand at the rear.
1 of the advantages is that the LEDs are enclosed in a reflective cone, this narrows the spread of each LED, meaning more intensity.
The only downside of this light is that it is not water resistant so you have to be very careful about spillage from trays above. If you do have a spillage make sure you get the sponge out and get rid of excess water as quickly as possible, if you have the time then there are a couple of preventative measures you can take the 1st 1 is just to run a silicon bead around the edges and over the screws heads, this will create a small dam that will enable you time to remove the water before it seeps down underneath, the other alternative is to cover with aluminium foil as you will see displayed in a later slide. [cm_tooltip_parse]Microgreen Herb LED Kit 100W
This is our 100 W. LED, which can be used for larger plants it comes with a mix of white LEDs giving it full spectrum with the addition of 660 nm red LEDs, allowing for a wide range of vegetables to be grown, along with flower and fruiting types. You can see from the picture that if you are mounting it on the top of the stand it is very easy as it matches our stand dimensions perfectly and just rests in place. The light is water resistant so light spillage is not a problem. The parts that come with it are 1- mains power cable connecting to the power supply which is mounted on top of the light, 1.8 m close, 2- metal cable connectors 3- and adjustable extension cable allowing you to move the light up and down, not really applicable if using with our stand but if using in another application could be very useful if your ceiling is high, 4- a connector plate which allows you to connect the lights together i.e. you could connect them 1, 2, 3 or 4 in a row and then you only need one cable to hold it up, which again could be connected to the movable extension cable, or you could increase the grow area by connecting 4 together in a square. The picture on the right shows a basil plant being grown on a pillory Matt, sitting in 1 of our Microgreen trays, the mid-front crossbar has been removed allowing you to easily remove the plant and tray if you would like to clean the base or for any other reason. [cm_tooltip_parse]Here you see a selection of power supplies that you can use with our 5w and 10w LED lights. You also have the option of adding a cable splitter.
The 3A power supplies running at 12 V support 10 of the 5w LEDs and 6 of the 10w LEDs.
The 3A power supplies running at 13.8 V support 6 of the 5w LEDs and 4 of the 10w LEDs.
The 5A power supply running at 12 V support 16 of the 5w LEDs and 12 of the 10w LEDs.
The 3A eBay (top left) we purchase this directly from eBay and we do not supply a warranty. We have found that sometimes they fail quickly and sometimes they last forever (we check them before sending them to make sure they're not dead on arrival), however you get them much cheaper on eBay (see product Info below), which means you can have a few left over for backup.
The other 2 power supplies we purchase directly from the supplier and give a one year warranty.
We have discovered that using the cable splitter purchase from eBay is okay for a few lights but for multiple lights the wire is very thin and they tend to overheat, so we suggest you purchase the one that we offer as it is thicker wire and higher quality. [cm_tooltip_parse]Vermiculite (Verm.) + Azomite (AZ) + Diatomaceous Earth (DE) – a crushed rock that is heated and forms a popcorn like effect with great aeration and water holding ability, plus AZ, natural product that contains most of the known trace elements. Plus DE also provides trace elements, but more importantly used for stopping insect Lavae.
An ideal medium for short-term microgreens, for longer term pot plants you may wish to add coconut fibre and perlite. Select the Product button to go to the Product Page Or Click text to hide[/cm_tooltip_parse]

[cm_tooltip_parse]Coconut Fibre Compressed Block - 0.7kg makes 8 litres of loose spreadable fibre, the best quality coconut fibre we could find, it comes in a compressed fine cut format, just add water & Probiotic Nutrients.
Unlike some other coconut fibres this has a fine texture without the large clumps of bark, it does have some fibrous material this also makes it ideal for growing vegetables. Select the Product button to go to the Product Page Or Click text to hide[/cm_tooltip_parse]

[cm_tooltip_parse]Vegetable storage kit - this kit consists of 2 cotton bags, one mesh bag, and a clip to seal plastic bags. Can be used to store leafy greens, sprouts, vegetables in general and can also be used as a shopping/carry bag also designed to fold into a small package.
This is the method I now use to store my sprouts and salad greens also other vegetables. Leafy greens & sprouts, it's best to store them 1st in a mesh bag, any damp material will not stick to the cotton bag (meaning you do not have to wash the cotton bag every time you change it). So the simple procedure is put the leafy greens inside the mesh bag, zip it up, place inside the cotton bag, then place inside a plastic bag that doesn't have any holes in it, gently squeeze the air out and secure with the clip. On the left we see a close-up of the insect trap before it is folded and the sticky side exposed. On the right you see a collage of the various places and methods where the insect trap can be used. We have created 2 types of holders to support the traps, making them much easier to assemble and use. Click to hide

[cm_tooltip_parse]Hydrogen Peroxide + Pipette + Optional 750ml Spray Bottle.
I use Hydrogen Peroxide or H2O2 in a spray bottle for Microgreens i.e. spraying the seeds and the paper towel at the base of the tray.
The H2O2 has 2 functions one is it releases oxygen into the water and it also counteracts any mould that may lie dormant attached to the outside of the seeds.
I recommend adding 3 mls to a 750 ml spray bottle, a full pipette is 3 mls. It is generally recommended to keep the H2O2 in the refrigerator to minimise evaporation, I personally store in the freezer, it does not freeze, further reducing its tendency to evaporate.
